Whole Foods and Walmart Donate to Gardens

Posted on

We are so pleased to announce our gardens initiatives at school have new support by The Whole Foods Kids Foundation and the Walmart Community Giving Program. Whole Foods donated $2,000 and sent us a wonderful packet of useful materials and seeds. Walmart donated $2,500 to spend at the Ashford Dunwoody store. We started off with picking up over 100 strawberries to plant in the terraced bed of the UPS Gardens at Woodland. Over the summer harvest will be donated to the Community Assistance Center to help needy families in Sandy Springs and Dunwoody. During school, we will be helping families in need at Woodland and starting our Culinary Kids Club and Garden Clubs.
