GO WILD FOR READING, WOODLAND WILDCATS!

THE Reading is aWESome competition IS HERE!

NOVEMBER 4th - NOVEMBER 22nd

GOAL: Get excited about reading, Wildcats! The Friends of Woodland PTO is sponsoring our Reading is aWESome competition. We want Woodland students in every grade/classroom to read at least 20 minutes every day of our upcoming event. Reading is aWESome gives your child a reason to read and helps in the development of stronger reading skills, and the competition element makes it fun.

WHAT: This the Friends of Woodland Elementary's MAJOR annual fundraiser, and our goal is to raise $12,500 this year! We are committed to providing every child with the resources they need for a bright academic future. The funds raised support many of the programs that make Woodland a unique and innovative learning center. This year, projects include:

> Hosting community events such as Popsicles on the Playground, Fall Festival, International Night, and Family Game Night

> Providing thousands of dollars in Staff Mini Grants

> Funding for STEM Night

> Staff appreciation activities

> 5th grade promotion celebrations

PRIZES: All students that participate by sharing 5 email addresses and logging minutes read will receive a FREE DRESS pass. There will also be class and individual prizes for total minutes read and total funds raised. Let the reading games begin…

Thank you for your support, Wildcats!
