about

Friends of Woodland’s sole purpose is to support programs at Woodland Elementary School and our community. Woodland is a Title 1 school located in Sandy Springs, Georgia.

We have a student body of  over 1,000 in Pre-K through 5th Grade. 54% of our students qualify for free or reduced lunch and 10% are students with special needs that range from moderate to profound from all over Fulton County.

To give our students the best tools to succeed in the real world, we became the first Georgia STEM Certified school in Sandy Springs the 16th in the state. Woodland’s unique programs help students develop critical and creative problem solving skills and continually evolve. Our stakeholders work collaboratively to research programs that directly benefit our diverse student population. Administrators, teachers, students, community members and business partners all contribute to help create a challenging and successful learning environment.
